Dutch Oven Whole Chicken

Place 1 lemon and 1 onion cut into thick slices under the chicken in the Dutch oven. Add 1 cup chicken broth to the bottom of the Dutch oven. For the butter mixture, mix together 4 tablespoons butter, 1/4 cup parsley, and 1 tablespoon chopped garlic. Carefully place this butter mixture under the chicken skin. Season the exterior of the chicken skin with Kinders buttery poultry blend and Italian chicken seasoning. Prepare an egg wash by whisking one egg with 3 tablespoons water, then brush it over the chicken. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 1 hour. Check the internal temperature of the chicken with a thermometer until it reaches 165°F (74°C). If the chicken has not reached the target temperature, reduce the oven to 350°F (175°C) and cook for an additional 30 minutes or until it reaches 165°F.
